CD21 - HVS test, Heidelberg preschool screening, incl. software

As a screening test, the aim of the HVS is to provide an overview of the child's stage of development with regard to its language-analytical and auditory-kinaesthetic perception skills. These are linked to delays and disorders of speech development, dyslalia, phonological disorders and hearing disorders.

A total of 7 individually standardised subtests are available for the age range 5-7 years: auditory memory span, expressive initial sound analysis, syllable segmentation, phonemic discrimination, articulatory motor skills, recognising word families, recognising rhyming words and, in addition, auditory attention. Some subtests can also be carried out with 4-year-olds. Time required for the complete screening, depending on cooperation, approx. 20 minutes.

Application: Screening at preschool age, assessment of the need for early intervention in individual skills, objective monitoring of therapy success, prevention of reading and spelling difficulties.
