Nexus brings together the measurement hardware, the findings database and the visual stimulus display of a vestibular diagnostic workstation. What used to require several devices and networks now fits into a single unit.
Wi-Fi access point for Merlin
Merlin is Zeisberg's wireless, calibration-free video-oculography goggles. Nexus provides the wireless network over which Merlin transmits eye and head movement data — separate from the practice network, with the measurement data going straight into medicAide.

Visual Target System
Nexus displays smoothly animated visual targets on a projector or large screen. Sizes and positions are calibrated in degrees of visual angle, and every stimulus is time-linked to the Merlin measurement data.
- Optokinetics: stripe or checkerboard pattern, adjustable in width, speed and direction
- Smooth pursuit: sinusoidally moving target, with child-friendly figures if desired
- Saccades: target jumps horizontally, vertically or diagonally to changing positions
- Dynamic visual acuity (DVA): Landolt ring during head movement, response via tablet
Unique: vHIT and DVA simultaneously
The patient fixates on a visual target that briefly turns into a Landolt ring during the head impulse — head impulse test and visual acuity measurement in a single examination.
