MAUS is a screening instrument and serves to identify children with a high probability of an auditory processing and perception disorder. The sensitivity of MAUS is approx. 96%; norms are available for children aged 6 to 11. Further paediatric audiological test combinations are required for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of an auditory processing disorder (APD).
