Software version - RVF directional hearing test in a virtual free field

Please note that a base module is required for all speech test procedures. Please order it separately. Article number: HW120.AR1

Test age-appropriate directional hearing through headphones - without expensive equipment. The RVF is an innovative tool for testing directional hearing - above all as part of APD diagnostics. Instead of free-field loudspeakers, testing is simply done through headphones.

Even very small angles. The various angles of incidence were recorded using dummy head technology. In contrast to a classic directional hearing system at the Mainz children's table, this makes it possible to test considerably smaller angles - down to two degrees.

Norm values for children. The RVF is so far the only test procedure with reference values for children aged six to twelve. This helps to classify individual performance quickly: as pathological, average, below or above average.

User-friendly and child-appropriate

Simple and quick results. With the RVF, the subject indicates where the signal was heard simply by pointing to the right or left ear or to the nose - a very simple method that even six-year-olds manage with ease. The short test duration of only two to five minutes also suits young subjects.

Automated procedure. Starting at +/- 90°, the signal angles decrease with every round. After three consecutively correct localisations, the next smaller angle follows. If there are three errors in a row or four errors at one angle, the examination ends. The preceding angle is taken as the measure of directional hearing.

Please note that speech tests are excluded from exchange and return!
